While the weekend is on our minds, we heard of another cool event going on:
First, Old Chicago Pizza is celebrating its first anniversary at its location on East Independece Street (just off South Glenstone) on Saturday. The Cardinals might clinch tonight, which is awesome. You might as well do at Old Chicago (home of Cubs photos!) and then stay until midnight to help usher in the big day.
Oh, and despite what you may have read in the current issue of GO (whoops) the Mille's Grape Harvest and Music Festival is NOT free. It's $5 (we think) to get in. Still worth it, especially with a TON of bands and Pearl playing late, but bring a Lincoln with you, would'ja?
LAST THING (The Set List promises). If you're listening to local radio on Saturday night, check out the new two-hour Austin Hartley Project on 99.5 FM. The frontman from Starrfadu is bringing local music to another frequency. His guests Saturday from 8 to 10 p.m. are Zach Dyer & Jeremy Larson.
Friday, September 25
Green Mountain Eco Fest at Eldridge, Missouri, $10-$16, all day
It's not too late to get in on the biggest sustainability fest in the area, maybe ever. Get thee to Eldridge! Which is up Buffalo-way.
