July 2: Lasers Kick Off 2009 Season

The Springfield Lasers, who will host Anna Kournikova on July 10, kick off their 2009 season tonight against the Philadelphia Freedoms (we had no idea that that word could be plural in such a context). World Team Tennis has really grown in recent years as current and retired stars (including Andre Aggassi) are making appearances for the league's teams. Season tickets run $55-$135 (click here for info) and you can purchase tickets for individual matches, as well.

Tonight's match starts at 7:05 p.m.

Cooper Tennis Stadium: 2331 E. Pythian St.
