"Let It Out": Starrfadu's golden moment

"Let It Out" is a song on Springfield band Starrfadu's 2007 album ...And Yes, Our Thoughts Were Elsewhere. The single was picked up by Kleenex for use in a commercial, and now in a short film/documentary about the Olympic spirit in all of us. You can now watch it online. Portions of it were shot in Springfield, and at a Starrfadu show at Randy Bacon's Studio and Gallery.

It's great exposure from one of Springfield's most consistently excellent (and consistently under-the-radar) bands.

The other bit of news in Starrfadu's latest e-newsletter was a more sobering.

"The other thing I wanted to tell you about was that about a 2 weeks
ago I found out that I have a brain tumor.  I'll be heading up to the
famous Mayo Clinic (MN.) later this month, and should be having it
removed.  Great news!  The really great news is that it's not
cancerous.  I've been writing some blogs about it on our MySpace
page, and even posted the photo the surgeon gave me... it's pretty
big!  Anyhow, I have no worries and feel God directs my life and it's
all in His hands; so I have no worries. :-)

Well, I think that's it for now.  I hope you're doing well and are
still digging our music.  haha

Austin"

Thoughts and prayers from the GO folks to Austin.
