Top Singles Finalist: Josh Marsh
Name: Josh Marsh
Age: 25
Occupation: News Anchor/Reporter of KTTS News 94.7 FM
Background (hometown, school, more): I grew up in the small town of Bradleyville. We have a book about us in Barnes and Noble that’s called Hicks from the Sticks you should really check out. That’s also where I went from school K-12 and was involved with choir, basketball, band and soccer.
Looking for: I am looking for a girl who has depth, wit, intelligence and it is those elements that add to her natural beauty. I must admit I like a girl with a lil' sass that can appreciate sarcasm but also enjoys being close to another once its earned.
Enjoys (interests): I enjoy coffee shops, I once was a barista. I also enjoy good music especially live. I am a big fan of breaking away from the city to a place where you can still see the stars and the sound of cars is nowhere to be heard. I enjoy going to church and I love playing the guitar and writing music.
Tell us why you should be voted one of Springfield’s most-eligible singles: To prove that nice guys can finish first.
Tell us about your community involvement. (Please tell us what organizations you’re involved in, what you do to participate and how long you’ve been doing it.) I have been a counselor at White River Youth Camp for 9 years. I absolutely love donating my time out there every summer. WRYC is a free camp for those who cant afford to go anywhere. It is a chance for kids to make new friends, build relationships and come closer to God. The last few years Ive also served as worship leader out there.
My perfect Saturday night is…: (when in Springfield) going to see a great band, like Starrfadu, winding up at the Mudhouse and then drifting over to Jordan Valley Park to talk about anything and everything.
What’s something that might surprise us about you? I was Cinderella’s Prince in the musical “Into The Woods”
Besides your personality, what do people remember about you after they meet you? I would say the things that typically stick is that I tend to ask both and deeper questions that you typically hear in polite conversation. And if you talk to me again you’ll be surprised to know what I remembered.

In my experience, Josh isn't the kind of guy to go out of his way to talk to someone, but he's happy to talk to you if you initiate and he is worth getting to know better because of his fun yet deep personality. Oh yea, he is also very creative and real. Best of luck Josh you deserve it!
I forgot to mention Josh makes the most amazing cookies and he takes them to work to share with everyone.
