Drink of the Issue

Wrap your hands around 5 Spice's exotic Wasabi Soy Bloody Mary.

A friend of ours spotted this on the menu at one of 5 Spice’s opening galas, and we knew we had to have it… right then and there.

What’s in it: Han Asian vodka; 5 Spice’s own wasabi-soy Bloody Mary mix, squeeze of lime.

What it looks like: A Bloody Mary, but not the plastic-cup jobs you’ll find many places. This gourmet, with a slice of lime on the rim and an olive flag floating on top (until it sinks).

What it tastes like: I can’t explain the goodness. The mix is delicious—if you sip through the sippy straw, you’ll taste it even more strongly. The vodka is definitely there, but a Bloody Mary isn’t about the alcohol. In fact, when I drink them, I typically only drink one, at a nice breakfast. I drank two of these. At dinner.
