C-Street Jam

On Saturday, May 10, Jah Roots headlines the third C-Street Jam on Commercial Street. The all-reggae lineup is a departure from the first two events’ all-indie rock themes, but perhaps more in keeping with the street’s semi-Bohemian atmosphere.

Jah Roots, Springfield’s top reggae band, will play at 8:30 p.m. near the Jefferson Avenue footbridge, preceded by two other reggae groups, Jam Room (6:30 p.m.) and Kansas City-based 77 Jefferson (7:30 p.m.). C-Street Jam features food vendors and a beer garden, one of the few such events to be found outdoors on Commercial Street. You don’t want to miss it, man.
