Gas is a ripoff. Flying is ridiculous. This we know. But, at this point in the summer, the only thing worse than padding the pockets of OPEC or the airlines might just be the thought of staying in Springfield for another four weeks. Because we feel the same way, we’ve found seven road trips, reachable with one tank of gas (some of them you might even make it round-trip). Sure, we might have cut it close on one or two (Kentucky Lake, in particular, will require some really good gas mileage) so just to be safe you might leave your SUV at home and rent something more economical. But then, you knew that.

So get packed, ‘cause we’re not waiting around for you any longer.
