Hypes and Gripes
Hypes to Campbell 16 for, during the recent 100-degree hot spell, lowering afternoon ticket prices to $4. We’d pay $9 to watch The Hangover (again) but the cheap price is refreshing.
Gripes to the many downtown restaurants that don’t have paper menus for the businesses downtown. I went to three different establishments (no names here) on Friday, June 26, and none had menus. One did let me borrow a full menu to take to a printer and make a copy, which was cool, and another got around to faxing me a copy, which was also nice, but I mean, b&w paper menus aren’t that expensive… Submitted by Nicholas Cloyd via e-mail
Hypes to whoever designed the diverging diamond intersection at I-44 and Kansas Expressway. We’re still confused, but no longer scared, and left-hand turns aren’t that fluid on a NASCAR track.
Hypes to the Good Samaritan cab driver who stopped in the middle of the street while a poor sap chased two Yorkies who had escaped their leashes. Hope you enjoyed the show.
