For the second year in a row, we asked you to help us find Springfield’s most fashionable men and women to show off the latest spring fashions. As always, you delivered. In the following pages, five women and three men show us what to wear in 2008—and, more importantly, how to wear it. Each Fashion Icon chose his or her own outfit from a local boutique’s spring stock, dressed it up with his or her own accessories and flourishes, and posed for our cameras. Their backdrop? The rich textures and interesting crannies of Hickok’s Steakhouse & Brewery downtown, which makes this a true fashion shoot-out. In addition to choosing an ensemble of choice, we asked each Icon to bring from home one clothing article or accessory they simply cannot live without.
So here they are. We hope you enjoy looking at them as much as we do.
