Prodigy Turbo Fan ski goggles

Outside Gear
They’re the bane of skiers everywhere—foggy goggles. The cheapest of the cheap fog up almost automatically once your body starts to generate heat, and even some pricey models tend to fog over when you take them off and put them on top of your head (i.e., when you’re on the ski lift).

Not Prodigy Turbo Fan goggles from Smith Optics. Sure, you’ll pay $180, but these goggles have a small, motorized fan built right above the nosepiece. Switch it on when the goggles aren’t in use, and they’ll stay fog free. Thankfully they’re still lightweight, with other features like an extra-dark, reflective tint; fleece-lined mask foam (it’s drier and more comfortable); and a hop-up kit, removable pieces you can change out to alter the look of the goggles. Available at Ski Shack (5539 S. Campbell Ave., 417-882-8480).
