Push Play: iPod Playlists

Lance used to play in a band in college, so he has an ear for honest, authentic rock, which is why his short list is filled with legends and lesser-known but critically acclaimed acts. If he had to choose a single album to play, it would be Auntie Ramos’ Pool Hall, by The Sidewinders.
Lance’s Playlist
“The Great Unknown,” Speakeasy: “They’re the best unsigned band in the country,” says Lance. (Incidentally, you can hear Shawn and Marcus of Speakeasy every Sunday night at Ebbets.)

“I’m Not Alone,”
Widespread Panic

“Jack Straw,”
The Grateful Dead

“Doesn’t Anyone Believe?,”
The Sidewinders

“Sugartown,”
The North Mississippi All Stars

Natalie Nunn, morning weather anchor, KSPR
Natalie, the bubbly morning personality on KSPR (what, you thought we were talking about Kyle Bosch?), calls her taste in music “uncool.” A kinder term would be “eclectic”.

Colbie Caillat, “Bubbly”: It will always put you in a good mood.

Dolly Parton, “9 to 5”: It’s a well-known fact that I am Dolly Parton’s biggest fan! It’s hard to pick just one of her songs.

Jimmy Buffet, “Please Come to Boston”: I love his version of the song. Jimmy is the ultimate lake-life soundtrack. I love his new CD.

Pat Green, “3 Days”: I have a not-so-secret crush on Pat Green… When I go to Texas I feel obligated to play his CD.

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, “I Need You”: It doesn’t get any more romantic. An interesting fact—their voices never touch during the song.

Hanson, The entire Snowed In album: I can’t pick just one song. I hate to admit it, but it is my favorite Christmas CD.
