Hypes and Gripes
Hypes to the photo lady at Walgreens at Grand and Kansas. Their fastest photo printing option is one-hour. It was already 8 p.m. and I was on my way home, so I didn’t want to wait that long. Plus I only needed one 5”x7” print. So I asked how long it would take in their one-hour machine. She’s a rock star and printed it for in me five minutes. Saved my night!
Gripes to the guys who drive trucks for shipping companies. For that matter, Gripes anyone who drives company trucks during the day (lookin’ at you, Mediacom). Why do you always drive in a big hurry at all times, except when you’re doing something for us? The FedEx truck tailgating the Tempo on Chestnut the other day was only our most recent sighting of this selective-aggressive driving.
I would like to submit a Hype for the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks for raising over $143,000 for children at Taste of the Ozarks. A big hype to Mark Gambon for leading us to a huge success! With an uncertain economy, it’s great to know that we can have a great event with more than 700 people attending.—Submitted by Katie Davis via Hypes and Gripes portal
