On April 18, we crowned our 2009 Best Band Award honoree at the Rock’n Ribs BBQ Festival. Among the five bands, The Cropdusters stood out to our esteemed panel of judges. The competition was fierce, but The Cropdusters’ combination of instrumental diversity and tight musical talent won the day. Special thanks to not only The Cropdusters (photo with their award at left), but runners-up ilijah, Sweetwater Abilene, Cindy Woolf and Jam Room and all of our opening and headlining artists for donating their time and talents on a soggy Saturday.

But Best Band wasn’t the only award handed out that day—far from it. Back in March you, the local music fan, chose winners in eight categories. Those winners—presented here—were awarded a super cool trophy at the GO Music Awards. If you weren’t there, here’s what you missed.
